Promotion and Tenure
And Appointments at Senior Rank
Nominations for appointments at senior rank, promotion, and
tenure are reviewed by the Senior Appointments and Promotions
Committee (SAPC) and approved by the Dean, the Provost, and the
University of Connecticut Health Center Board of Directors. In
the
attached memo (PDF) you
will find information for how the SAPC works with the Dean and
the Provost. Introduced in the 2008/2009 academic year, these
guidelines will remain in place for 2009/2010. The Office of
Faculty Affairs will manage the flow of nominations from the SAPC to the Dean and to the Provost’s office.
