Continuing Education Workshop

  • Professional development activities for grade nine through twelve teachers offered through the Department of Health Career Opportunity Programs.
  • Teachers identified for participation in professional development workshops have direct teaching responsibilities for the cohort of students involved in programs and activities.

  • Some workshops provide teachers with an update on current biomedical research applications and implications for their disciplines.
  • Designated programs provide teachers with specific examples of relevant biomedical concepts that can be incorporated into curricula.
  • Provide teachers with the availability and accessibility of the University of Connecticut Health Center library as a resource as they develop curricula.
