I am in the graduate phase of the M.D./Ph.D. program. I am studying the anticonvulsant properties of the endogenous cannabinoid system (our bodies' own marijuana) using an animal model of epilepsy and in vitro electrophysiology techniques. Working with cutting edge pharmaceutical agents is very exciting, and I love thinking my work could one day lead to better treatments for epilepsy.

In my free time, I like to ballroom dance, work on my house, cook, watch movies, and read. And I am a diehard "Lost" and "ER" fan.

I am also active in the student-run clinics, and I regularly tutor medical students to keep up with the basic medical science curriculum. I hope to do clinical research, see patients, and teach at an academic institution much like the UConn Health Center.
