I chose to go to medical school for the
opportunity to help people through some of life's most
difficult challenges and to join an intellectually and
socially engaging profession. The faculty and
curriculum at the UConn School of Medicine help students
develop the critical thinking and interpersonal skills
necessary to become a successful physician. I
particularly enjoyed the emphasis on small group
learning and early clinical exposure through the Student
Continuity Practice, as well as student involvement in
extracurricular activities. Finally, the supportive and
collaborative student body promotes an excellent
learning environment throughout the pre-clinical and
clinical years. For all of the above reasons, UConn was
a great choice for me.
